I have been disappointed with the other chippies in this area and how expensive it was becoming too. I stopped buying fish and chips and then my partner suggested the Pound Fish Bar at East Peckham. I have to say I am so pleased that I tried this chip shop. Fish is lovely, white and the batter light and tasty, chips are fluffy inside, cooked to perfection outside too. A good size portion too. My order was taken over the phone and ready in 10 minutes, the staff are friendly, happy and the shop was very clean and hygienic. We will definitely come back and we definitely recommend this lovely chippy to everyone. You will not be disappointed. Next time I get an order I will get some pictures too!

The only decent chippy we have left in the area. The gorgeous smell hits you as you enter the shop and reminds you of how fish and chip shops used to be before hipsters hijacked the scene. Lovely generous portions, tastes like proper traditional fish and chips how they should be. Crispy batter. Service good and quick, and prices are now reasonable considering everything going up and up.

Their fish is always very tasty and cooked to perfection. No mushy gunky batter. I always finish all of it from there. Whereas I always leave most of the batter from other fish and chip shops. Oh and the chips are tasty too.
